ENSURE YOUR SPEAKERS ARE ON
As heard on CBC radio's On the Island show, Victoria, BC...
Listen carefully to this person who is the head spokesperson for the BC CDC.
Her suggestion that the BC CDC tests are good enough to detect all the strains is simply fiction. There are no published data anywhere to support that, or many of her claims, nor do they test for B. bissettii a well established human pathogen causing Lyme disease or similar symptoms that include heart valve disease, bowel disease, etc..
She again makes unproven allegations that the US labs that are finding Canadians to be positive are not acting properly. These are fully certified and accredited labs who years ago realized the CDC criteria of 1994 that Bonnie Henry and company adhere to, were missing a large percentage of cases of Lyme disease. It is no wonder the US CDC put out a warning about these other labs who were doing a much better job, the CDC had to do this or they had egg all over their faces and potential law suits.
We have medical files and reports of many BC patients as recent as this past month (June 2010) where BC doctors are determining it is not Lyme disease based upon the poor BC CDC tests. It is NOT being diagnosed clinically in BC unless the perfect bull's eye rash is seen, which occurs in only 9% of cases.
