Outstanding Lyme Disease Physician to be Honored at an Evening of Gratitude & Style
On May 23, 2006,In-Style Magazine, Bloomingdales, and the Lyme Disease Foundation, Inc.,will present a gala evening of fashion and dining to honor Dr. Lesley Ann Fein. The fund raiser will showcase Dr. Fein's work in Lyme disease research and her dedication to her patients.
(PRWEB) May 14, 2006 -- Lesley Ann Fein, M.D., MPH, will be honored for her dedication and achievements in Lyme disease medicine on Tuesday, May 23, 2006, with a gala evening of gratitude and style. The event is presented by Stephanie George, President of In-Style Magazine, Bloomingdales, and the Lyme Disease Foundation, Inc, located in Tolland, Connecticut.
The festivities will be held at the Rockleigh Country Club, 26 Paris Avenue, Rockleigh, New Jersey, beginning with cocktails, at 6:30. An exciting runway fashion show at 7:30, featuring Bloomingdale’s fine clothing line, is sure to delight those in attendance. Dinner and a silent auction at 8:00 will round out the festive occasion.
Tickets are $150 per person, and all proceeds will benefit the Lyme Disease Foundation.

About Dr. Fein:
Lesley Fein grew up in South Africa where she obtained her Bachelor of Science with Honors degree. Dr. Fein holds both an MD (George Washington University Medical School) and an MPH (Columbia University, NY). She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, following a three-year residency program at Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC, and she completed her Fellowship in Rheumatology at New York University. She has been in practice since 1986 and has taught Epidemiology to medical and public health students at Columbia University and Mt. Sinai Hospital, NY. She has also taught General Medicine at Mt. Sinai and NYU.
Dr. Fein has served on several committees, inclusive of S296 under Senator Bennet (Majority Leader of NJ Senate) regarding Lyme disease, the National Health Legislation Task Force, and as an Advisor to the Lyme Disease Foundation. She is both an experienced researcher and a seasoned public speaker and has published articles and government reports on Lyme disease and other tick borne illnesses.
